About Our Programmes

GrandChêne Section Internationale offers bilingual programmes for children aged 4 (Maternelle) to 18 (Lycée).

  • Integrated Model: All programmes (except the Wednesday Primary programme) are fully integrated within French public schools. Students spend 80% of their time on the French curriculum.

  • Curriculum: Our integrated programmes follow the official Section Internationale curriculum certified by the French Ministry of Education.

  • Requirements: Students must be academically strong. Assessing their previous school reports is part of the assessment.

  • Non-French Speakers: We accept applications from students not yet speaking French, depending on the partner school. In Primary, it is advisable that the child is not a beginner in French. In Collège, Collège Pasteur in la Celle Saint-Cloud offers a French immersion programme and Collège la Quintinie in Noisy-le-Roi can put French support in small groups in place if necessary.

Applications Process

Your application will be accepted after the deadlines whilst places are available. These will be subject to individual or distance testing.

There are however administrative deadlines which we must keep so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

We charge a non-refundable fee of 105 euros to cover administrative costs of the applications. The application fee is to be paid by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) when submitting your application online. You will find the link to pay once you submit your application.
If your child is invited to test, you will be requested to pay the following additional fees.
  • Official Testing dates in France : 50 Euros
  • Individual Testing in France: 110 Euros
    Levels GS & CP = 75 Euros
  • Distance Testing: 110 Euros
    Levels GS & CP = 75 Euros
  • French/Maths Testing (France/Distance): 100 Euros
  • CP “Passage Sécurisé” = 50 Euros
All candidates for CP Primary Integrated need to sit this test
The testing will be both written and oral to evaluate the children’s comprehension, grammar and writing skills.

For families living abroad, we appreciate that returning to France for official testing dates is not easy (in the current situation in particular), especially if more than one child is concerned.
We will always try to accommodate families with children of different ages when organising individual testing in France.

We can organise distance testing for your children with help from their current school. We also have solutions in place to proceed with testing when schools abroad are closed.
